Full Job Description
Are you a skilled Reward professional seeking an opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment? The University of York is looking for an HR Reward Specialist to play a key role in helping shape our reward and recognition strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to transform data into actionable insights, ensuring our reward framework is both motivating and equitable, helping us attract and retain the talent vital to achieving our strategic goals., As a HR Reward Specialist, you will be instrumental in key reward activities, taking a leading role in:
- Overseeing job evaluations and assessing casual pay requests.
- Leading impactful salary benchmarking exercises to maintain our competitive position.
- Driving the delivery of our annual reward processes.
- Play a leading role in the annual academic and professorial promotion scheme.
- Support the implementation of annual pay awards and Real Living Wage increases through data modelling and reporting.
- Conducting annual calculations and analysis of the University's Pay Gaps.
- Managing day-to-day employee benefits activity, including escalated enquiries and system development.

We are looking for a HR specialist with a strong understanding of reward principles and practices, capable of applying their expertise to complex institutional projects. You will be adept at data analysis and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels.
