Support Worker
Employer: Wrexham County Borough Council
Location: Wrexham, Wrexham, LL11
Hourly Rate: 13.26 £ per hour
Employment Type: Permanent, Part time

About the Role:
I'm 27 years old and I have a condition called Morquio which makes me depend on my electric chair; it's also a type of dwarfism.
I need help with manual handling, so I will need assistance with toileting and also support cutting up my food.
I need someone who is confident driving on the motorway, and is happy to take me to different places. It’s important that they are passionate about all animals and not scared to get a little bit muddy.
If someone can do make-up, not always but if there is a day I want to make an effort, they can do my face for me as I struggle with it.
A sense of humor and banter is important; I need a friendship with my carer.
Someone who I can rely on is really important to me, and someone who can encourage me to try different experiences and push me out of my comfort zone. I like to volunteer at Dogs Trust, but I can only go every other week. On the days I don't go, it would be nice for the carer to come up with different things we can do together.
Training and Learning Opportunities:
Training and learning opportunities available will be tailored to the citizen's needs. Please note the Employer will arrange this for you if the job is offered and accepted.
