Full Job Description

The Payroll Delivery Team Leader plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely processing of the Healthcare fortnightly payroll, taking full ownership of the coordination and delivery of this service., With a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency, you'll oversee all input and control activities, ensuring they're completed in line with strict processing deadlines and compliance requirements. Acting as a key point of knowledge within the team, you'll provide expert guidance on payroll systems and complex queries, supporting colleagues across the payroll function and ensuring a consistent, high-quality service. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering precision-driven results that make a difference to colleagues across the organisation.,

  • Supervise and support a team of Payroll Coordinators
  • Recruit, train, coach and manage team performance
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery
  • Handle complex payroll tasks, including TUPE loads and loan deductions
  • Perform second-level payroll checks for compliance
  • Support the Payroll Delivery Manager as needed
  • Liaise with SDWorx to meet SLA and KPI requirements

    Payroll experience with strong UK legislation knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Agenda for Change (AfC) terms
  • Experience with fortnightly payroll cycles
  • Proficient in relevant IT platforms and systems
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy standards
  • Experience managing internal/external stakeholders and small teams (desirable)
