This is an exciting opportunity for a Physics specialist with excellent laboratory experience to play a key role in the Science department of one of London's top day schools. As a Physics Technician at Wimbledon High School, you will provide technical support to the Physics department, ensuring the safe, efficient and effective preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and resources to support the delivery of Physics practical lessons and demonstrations. You will prepare and set up equipment, materials, and resources for Physics lessons, demonstrations, and practical experiments and assist teachers and students during practical sessions as required, including providing technical advice and ensuring safe working practices. This role is term time only plus 5 days. About you A good understanding of Physics principles and laboratory techniques is essential, in addition to experience in a lab environment. You will also need the ability to safely handle and maintain equipment and will be organised, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to a school laboratory (e.g. COSHH, CLEAPSS guidance) are equally important.
