About the role

We have a brand new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Surveyor (Healthy Homes) to join our Asset Team. This role will be key in delivering a tenant focused, efficient and accurate service, with a focus on managing and diagnosing predominately damp and mould cases along with associated disrepair issues across the Association’s homes. Overseeing and managing a specialist triage team to ensure timely interventions and ensuring that works are carried out efficiently in accordance with legislation – this is an opportunity not to be missed!

Some of the main duties of the role will include:

  • Taking ownership for providing and delivering triage repair services in relation to damp and mould across all Broadland’s properties.
  • Liaising with others within the business to ensure that appropriate response and actions are taken.
  • To carry out post inspections and to ensure that Health and Safety, Compliance and Legislation requirements are met.

For full details on the role, please see the job description.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have an appropriate degree in Building Surveying or similar, with a good understanding of building defects, diagnosis and required corrective action (ideally within a housing environment) as well as experience of coordinating and managing projects. Previous managerial experience would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate will be driven, self-motivated with the passion to provide excellent customer service to our tenants with the ability to work collaboratively, in order to support and motivate a brand new team within the organisation.

A driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential as travel throughout Norfolk will be required.

All team members and colleagues working for Broadland will always be expected to act in a manner that is consistent with our corporate values and behaviours, as detailed in the job description.
