As a Football Senior journalist - Story Editor, you'll drive editorial planning, live matchday output, and innovative storytelling across BBC platforms. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

• Lead digital football content, including live matchday coverage, feature planning, and interactive storytelling.
• Oversee a team of football journalists and collaborate with TV, radio, and social teams.
• Commission and deliver engaging men's and women's football content that attracts and retains audiences.
• Build a network of contributors and help shape social media strategy.
• Work variable shifts, including weekends, to cover Premier League, WSL, and other competitions.
  
  Strong knowledge of football and a proven track record in football journalism.
• Experience commissioning and producing written content, and overseeing live coverage.
• Ability to deliver content that engages under-served and diverse audiences.
• Strong editorial judgement, resilience, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Digital storytelling flair and deep understanding of the fast-paced digital media landscape.
• Experience working across multiple platforms (TV, radio, social).
• Familiarity with BBC editorial standards.
• Experience managing or mentoring a team.
• Knowledge of audience analytics and performance metrics.
• A network of football contributors and contacts.
