Independent Trustee
London-based meetings (with hybrid flexibility)
3 years (renewable for a further 2 years)
Voluntary role (reasonable expenses covered)
Are you an experienced leader in digital transformation and service delivery looking to make a real difference? The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an Independent Trustee to join our Board during an exciting time as we approach our 30th anniversary in 2026.
With over 25,000 members worldwide, RCPCH plays a vital role in shaping child health, training doctors, and improving healthcare for children and young people in the UK and internationally. As a Trustee, you will bring your expertise to help guide our strategy, strengthen governance, and ensure our digital evolution supports our mission to advance paediatrics and child health.
What we're looking for:
- Senior-level expertise in digital service delivery and organisational transformation
- Strategic vision and strong independent judgment
- Commitment to RCPCH's mission and values.
What you'll do:
- Play a key role in the governance and oversight of a leading medical Royal College
- Attend 4 Board meetings per year (plus AGM and training) - hybrid options available
- Contribute to shaping the future of paediatrics and child health on a national and global scale.
Term: 3 years (renewable for a further 2 years).
Remuneration: Voluntary (reasonable expenses covered).
Location: London-based meetings (with hybrid flexibility).
This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise to a high-impact organisation and help improve the health and lives of children everywhere.
The College is keen to accept applications from people with protected characteristics. We believe that our Trustees should represent all of the diverse communities we serve. Join us to help realise our vision of a world where every child is healthy and well.
The RCPCH is committed to safeguarding the children, young people and adults it has contact with in the exercise of its functions and responsibilities. The RCPCH expects all Trustees to share this commitment - we place a high priority on ensuring only those who do so are recruited to work for us.
To apply, please send your CV and supporting statement (max 2 pages) via the application link.
Further details on the role and how to apply can be found on the RCPCH website.
Closing date: 12pm, 21 October 2025.
