Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position for up to 24 months to work with Dr Alison Parkin in the Department of Chemistry. The project is associated with an ERC consolidator award funded by the UKRI Frontier Research Guarantee. Department, The project will focus on harnessing Fourier transform voltammetry methods for highly sensitive electrochemical biosensing measurements. This appointment will suit a person with training in protein chemistry, electrochemistry and data analysis. The position is full time for up to 24 months, available from September 2024. Please note that flexible working patterns will be considered.,

• To conduct research under the supervision of Dr Alison Parkin and to contribute to the production of research
• To assist in the identification and development of potential areas of research and the development of proposals for independent or collaborative research projects
• To provide guidance to other staff and students, as required, as well as coordinating the work of small research teams
  
  You will have a first degree and PhD in chemistry with knowledge of analytical chemistry and electrochemistry.
• Experience in Fourier transform voltammetry and bioelectrochemistry highly desirable.
• Highly developed communication skills to engage effectively with a wide ranging audience, both orally and in writing; demonstrated ability to write up research work for publication; ability to work as part of a team and also to work independently using own initiative; ability to develop research objectives, projects and proposals for own and joint research
