• Design and create advice packages and training course materials for partner agencies within statutory and third sector organizations.
• Deliver substance misuse training sessions to key partner agencies, including Healthcare providers, GPs, Social Care Teams, DWP Job Centre Plus, Probation Services, etc.
• Provide regular bespoke training events and respond to requests for tailored training sessions.
Health Promotion:
• Conduct health awareness promotional events and support local Kent Public Health campaigns.
• Offer harm reduction sessions and promote Needle and Syringe Exchange Programmes (NSP).
• Develop and produce alcohol and drug-related tailored resources for people who use the service and minority and/or high-risk groups, e.g. older drinkers, the wider staff team and general public.
• Promote healthier lifestyles and increase service user choice.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Build and promote links with local community services and mutual aid groups.
• Ensure key partner agencies are aware of referral pathways to access the West Kent Drug & Alcohol Wellbeing Service.
• Provide ongoing support and refresher training where needed.
• Work with CGL Regional Communications Partners and Marketing Team
Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with the West Kent Drug & Alcohol Wellbeing Service and other CGL Kent based projects, Kent County Council (KCC) Public Health Specialists, KCC Commissioners, and Health Promotion colleagues to ensure system wide working.
• Maintain professional standards at all times and develop excellent working relationships with WK Leadership Team, wider staff teams, service users, KCC Commissioners and Public Health Consultants and other stakeholders.
• Be an ambassador for CGL and actively promote the values of the organisation at all times.
Accessibility and Reducing Healthcare Inequalities: Ensure CGL services are accessible, help identify where individuals are facing barriers to support a reduction in healthcare inequalities. Promote and highlight the wider health needs for those accessing CGL's services to ensure local services are available, accessible, acceptable, and of high quality. This includes:
• Availability: Ensuring sufficient quantity and type of services.
• Accessibility: Addressing physical, financial, bureaucratic, social, and information barriers to accessing services.
• Acceptability: Respecting cultural, ethical, and professional standards, ensuring gender- and age-sensitive services.
• Quality: Ensuring service providers possess necessary skills and training, maintaining safe and sanitary facilities, and providing services at an acceptable standard of care.
Monitoring and Reporting:
• Meet all monitoring and reporting requirements.
• Ensure that all data requirements are met within defined deadlines.
• Contribute to performance targets and engage proactively with line management supervision.
  
  Change Grow Live is looking for a motivated and values-driven individual to support CGL's Kent wide services. The post holder will work as part of the West Kent Drug & Alcohol Wellbeing Service to deliver training and educational sessions to key stakeholders to improve their knowledge and understanding of alcohol and drug-related issues. This will involve the design and delivery of trainings/ promotions to enable staff from other agencies to have the confidence, skills, and ability to identify and screen individuals and understand the substance misuse referral pathways in West Kent., Understanding of current developments and priorities in substance misuse policy at a national and local level.
• Experience in planning, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational and administrative skills.
• Experience of effectively using IT software programmes, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and MS Teams.

• Access to own transport - ability to travel across West Kent
Desirable:
• PTLLS or other accredited teaching qualification.
• Recognised qualification in health and social care.
• Experience of facilitating forums.
• Qualification in adult learning/teaching or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
• The ability to work flexibly across a number of operational sites across West Kent within agreed hours - this may include some evening and weekend working
