The duties of the Consultant Neurologist will be to provide outpatient sessions at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals and at a peripheral hospital depending on the needs of the service, but this will be discussed with the post-holder within the consultant job planning process. We occasionally may ask consultants to provide support to other peripheral hospitals, if required. This would be discussed with the appointee at job planning and the necessary adjustment to the job plan agreed. The post holder will: Participate in the on-call rota Promote high standards of clinical care for patients, both through direct patient care and by maintain their continuing professional development. Provide direct input to patients; contribute to multi-disciplinary teams and lead the co-ordination of care for patients within Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
