Full Job Description
We are looking for a Senior BIM Technician to join our Infrastructure team in Bridgend, Wales. This role will be working within a team based in our Bridgend office in South Wales. We operate a flexible team structure so there will be opportunities to work across the above-mentioned sectors. Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for the delivery of the design output using BIM and Digital Engineering tools. What you'll do:
- Creating high quality, accurate 30 models and drawings to support project delivery (using Autodesk software; Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 30 or Plant 30 ).
- Undertaking model co-ordination to ensure our deliverables are fully co-ordinated with other disciplines, using a combination of BIM 360 and Navisworks Manage. Integration of supply chain model data.
- Actively participating in the Skanska Technology technician's forum to exchange best practice with other members and ensure lessons learnt are captured and shared with other team members.
- Contribute to progressing projects by engaging with our clients in a focussed way to maintain progress with schemes to agreed programme and quality criteria.
- Challenging the status quo to improve project outcomes for our clients (to improve safety, profitability, ease of construction or programme).
Hold an appropriate construction related qualification. - A working knowledge of the following: Autodesk modelling packages and Microsoft office suite. Good knowledge of the construction industry and an awareness of appropriate construction methods and buildability.
- Be proactive, highly motivated, driven to succeed and possess a strong attention to detail.
- Willing to adapt, have strong problem-solving skills and work well within a team.
- Respond to site queries quickly and responsively.
