Full Job Description
Fulfil the role, as assigned, of Project Manager, as defined in the Capital Investment Manual for designated schemes to ensure the successful completion to the UHB's requirements of time, cost and quality and in accordance with Capital Investment Manual and other mandatory / statutory requirements.
To provide specialised advice on Mechanical engineering matters, design standards and technical requirements and to assist in the preparation of feasibility studies and business case development.
To provide specialist Mechanical engineering expertise including design solutions, advice and assistance on capital schemes across the Health Board.
Formulate fee bid lists, recommends on appointments of external consultants. Briefs, manages and monitors their performance. Ensuring that the requirements for E.C. procurement are complied with as necessary.
Consults with Local Authorities and other agencies on planning issues and to submit and secure planning approvals for capital developments, including outline and detailed consents, listed building consents, etc.
Authorises Contractor's financial payments within delegated limits.
Provide regular project reports and specialised technical reports including project plans identifying impact on clinical service., Applicants are invited to apply in Welsh. Any application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application made in English.

Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.
