Full Job Description
are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering and Architecture team in London, initially working as part of our HS2 Old Oak Common project team, by recruiting an experienced Design Manager to manage the delivery of Architectural design. This position within our Design Management team will suit a committed and ambitious Architect who can demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills combined with commercial awareness and the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team. The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the relevant disciplines. We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience within Architectural Design on Infrastructure Projects.This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Design Manager to further their career in a highly motivated and inspirational environment. Missions/Main Duties:Working in collaboration with our designers and contract partners, the Design Manager will be involved in a variety of tasks such as:
- Adopt a cost effective, high quality, safe and environmentally responsible approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities on relevant projects, compliant with all relevant legislation.
- Manage the coordination between the design and construction teams.
- Manage delivery and coordination of all aspects of the Old Oak Common JV station work packages.
- Liaise with wider design team to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables across all areas of the project.
- Delivery of work to programme, budget and specification Profile/Skills
Degree qualified within a relevant discipline - Experience of managing the coordination of multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects
- Experience managing design delivery programme and to budget
- Broad Design Engineering experience gained on infrastructure projects
- Good understanding of CDM regulations
- NEC3 contract experience
- Excellent communications skills
- Working experience with ProjectWise and Bentley Systems
- Professional Institution membership
