Full Job Description
Are you a highly organised administrator looking for a role that really matters? This is not your average admin job. You will be at the heart of an integrated, trauma-informed treatment service, contributing to meaningful change for people often at a turning point in their lives. We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Administrator to support our Substance Misuse Team (SMS) working within HMP Wormwood Scrubs. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role, helping deliver essential services to individuals in prison experiencing drug or alcohol issues. Working as part of an experienced team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our services, from maintaining accurate data and coordinating programme attendance, to managing correspondence, liaising with prison departments, and supporting the wider team. What you'll do:
- Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the SMS team.
- Maintain accurate data and records using Excel, C-Nomis, and internal systems.
- Liaise with key partners including prison departments and clinical teams.
- Coordinate programme invites, attendance logs and outcome reports.
- Support reporting for commissioners by collating key statistics and monitoring figures.
- Escort visitors, prepare meeting papers, and take minutes as required.
A confident administrator with excellent IT, organisational and communication skills. - Someone with initiative who can manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- A strong team player who can build good relationships with colleagues and partner agencies.
- Familiarity with prison or health-based admin systems (e.g. C-Nomis, SystmOne) is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in a sensitive environment.
- Someone willing to undergo security vetting and work within a prison setting.
We are The Forward Trust, the social enterprise with charitable status that empowers people to break the often interlinked cycles of crime and addiction to move forward with their lives. - 3 x Wellbeing Days (pro rata'd for part time employees)
- Access to Blue Light Card
- 25 days (rising to 30 with length of service) Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays
- Contributory Pension Scheme - Employer matched contributions of up to 6% in the first two years' service and up to 9% thereafter
- Death in Service Payment (2x annual salary)
- Critical Illness Insurance (subject to qualifying criteria)
