Full Job Description

As a Teaching and Learning Coach (Learning Innovation), you will play a key role in shaping a culture of everyday excellence, supporting staff to deliver exceptional learning experiences for all students by embedding high-quality, inclusive, and consistent use of everyday digital tools across teaching, learning and assessment. You will contribute to the strategic development of Teaching, Learning and Assessment across the College, working collaboratively with curriculum managers and colleagues to champion innovation, reflective practice, and continuous professional development. You will design and deliver impactful digital development activities, offer personalised coaching, and lead initiatives that enhance the quality of teaching across all curriculum areas. You will have experience embedding digital tools into teaching, learning and assessment in a way that is purposeful, inclusive, and consistent across curriculum areas. You will be skilled at translating strategy into practical classroom approaches, supporting colleagues to build confidence, develop high-quality resources, and adopt digitally enhanced teaching practices. With a strong understanding of accessibility, engagement, and cognitive science, you will ensure digital approaches move beyond content delivery to active, impactful learning. You will be collaborative, proactive, and committed to raising standards, helping to create a culture where digital practice is embedded, sustainable, and focused on learner success. Your knowledge of external frameworks, such as the Ofsted Framework, Apprenticeships standards, and JISC/ETF technology standards, will enable you to support strategic alignment and compliance, ensuring teaching improvements are grounded in sector expectations and research-informed approaches. Personally, you will be positive, adaptable, and solution-focused, with the ability to inspire confidence in others. You will communicate clearly and objectively, build strong professional relationships, and contribute proactively to a collaborative, ambitious, and innovative team environment.
