Teaching Assistant at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Harrogate, a Voluntary Academy

About this Role

  • Permanent, Term Time Only plus 2 additional days
  • 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Salary NJC Grade A1/B1, Scale Points 3-6, £25,614 - £26,846 per annum
  • Actual Salary: £19,049 - £19,965 per annum
  • Start date: 7 September 2026

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is warm, friendly, and empathetic
  • Has excellent English, maths and communication skills
  • Understands how individual children learn to ensure rapid progress
  • Is committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour
  • Works effectively as part of a skilled team including outside agencies
  • Someone who may want to develop skills necessary to enter into initial teacher training
  • Is a practising Catholic or supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
