Teacher - Joinery

Harrogate College are recruiting for a Joinery Teacher with site joinery experience to join the already successful Construction Department in Harrogate. We welcome applications from candidates that have industry experience and are looking to move into a teaching career. The Construction Department boast industry-standard workshops. You will be joining the established joinery team to teach predominantly site joinery. • Plan exciting and relevant lessons according to the course content outlined by City and Guilds
• Deliver and assess essential knowledge, skills and understanding to help learners gain a successful outcome.
• You will be responsible for the retention, achievement, and positive progression rates for identified courses in your area.
• Provide high-quality and effective planning and delivery across the course team.
• Develop creative learning materials for learners.
  
  Hold a minimum of Level 3 in Joinery or equivalent.
• Experience in site joinery.
• Have a Level 5 Teaching Qualification, or a willingness to work towards within a given timeframe.
• Knowledge and experience within education is desirable.
• Have a positive, "can do" approach.
• Be able to engage with young people.
• Have the ability to multi-task.
• Can work both individually and as part of a team.
