Study Programme Tutor - Childcare Tutor

We are recruiting a Childcare Tutor to join our expanding provision at our Leeds 2 centre., Alongside vocational delivery, you will support learners to achieve English and Maths (Functional Skills or GCSE), working with specialist teams, and uphold the highest standards of teaching in line with the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).

You will:

Be passionate about teaching, training, and learner success

Work confidently both independently and as part of a team

Be organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines

Be motivated to support young people to achieve positive life outcomes

Be confident in using a range of IT systems and educational technologies to monitor learner progress, maintain records and support effective delivery.

Be able to manage administrative responsibilities effectively, maintaining accurate learner records, monitoring progress and completing documentation in a timely manner.

Experience of working within the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, with an understanding of inspection requirements and experience of supporting or participating in Ofsted inspections being advantageous.

Essential Requirements

PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare.

Recent and relevant industry experience working with children in an early years, childcare, or educational setting.

A sound understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable:

GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above, Functional Skills Level 2, or an equivalent qualification in English and Maths.

Experience of teaching or training learners aged 16-19 within a further education or vocational setting.

Experience of supporting learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.

Knowledge of the Ofstead Education Inspection Framework and inspection requirements., Support delivery of English and Maths (with specialist support)
