Full Job Description
Due to the nature of these roles, we expect a high number of applications. We reserve the right to close the advert early, so we strongly recommend that you submit your application as soon as you can.
We are looking for an organised, adaptable and student-focused individual with strong analytical, technical and systems skills, alongside the ability to build positive working relationships and communicate complex information clearly.
As a Data, Insights and Systems Officer, you will help maintain and develop the systems, data and reporting capabilities that support Student Experience and the wider Student Experience and Support Directorate. You will provide the evidence, insights and technical expertise needed to improve services, understand student needs and support informed decision-making across the University.
Working within a passionate and ambitious team that supports over 40,000 students to settle in and thrive at Leeds, you will work with IT to maintain and enhance key systems used for student engagement, enquiries and reporting, ensuring data is accurate, accessible and trusted. You will use your technical and systems expertise to support process improvement, develop user-friendly reporting and dashboards, and help colleagues make effective use of data in their work.
A key aspect of the role is working collaboratively with stakeholders across the University to translate data into actionable insights that enhance the student experience. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of systems and processes, ensuring they meet operational, reporting and data quality requirements.
There may be occasional evening and weekend work to support system development activities.
o 26 days holiday plus 16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) - that's 42 days a year!
o Generous pension scheme plus life assurance.
o Health and Wellbeing: Discounted staff membership options at The Edge, our state-of-the-art Campus gym, with a pool, sauna, climbing wall, cycle circuit, and sports halls.
o Personal Development: Access to courses run by our Organisational Development & Professional Learning team.
o Access to on-site childcare, shopping discounts and travel schemes are also available.
And much more!
