SEND Teaching Assistant

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Lightcliffe Academy in Halifax to recruit caring, committed and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants for an immediate long-term opportunity.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive secondary school environment, supporting students with additional learning needs and helping them develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.
Whether you're an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or have transferable experience working with children and young people, we'd love to hear from you., Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEND

Support pupils with additional learning and developmental needs

Assist teachers with tailored learning activities and interventions

Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence

Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND or education

A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, empathy and a positive approach

Ability to build positive relationships with students

A flexible, proactive and reliable attitude

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
