Full Job Description

Location Guildford, UK Join our Team The Scientist I (Imaging Assay Development) plays a key role in designing, optimising and validating immunofluorescence and FISH-based assays. This is a hands-on, technically rich role, working across the full assay lifecycle in a regulated setting, collaborating closely with molecular scientists and bioinformaticians. Principal Accountabilities

  • Design, optimise, and validate IF and FISH imaging assays
  • Develop multiplex staining protocols and signal amplification strategies
  • Operate and maintain fluorescence microscopy and imaging platforms
  • Undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
  • Education, Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
  • MSc or PhD in Biomedical Sciences or related field
  • 1-2 years' experience in imaging assay development
  • Strong hands-on expertise in immunofluorescence and/or FISH
  • An eye for detail and commitment to high quality data
  • A flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job
  • Job Requirements Due to the nature of the role, our requirement is for this position to be Guildford-based, office hours, five days per week.
