Full Job Description

You will be part of a busy Reception and Administration Team supporting the Urgent Care Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Services. This is a varied and rewarding role providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the service.

As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will provide a professional and welcoming service while supporting the smooth running of the unit. This is a rewarding but busy role that requires the ability to remain calm under pressure, manage a variety of tasks, and adapt to changing demands. Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated, and able to work independently to a high standard. Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills are essential, and previous experience working with the public would be an advantage. If you are ready for a new challenge and enjoy working as part of a team committed to delivering high-quality care, we would love to hear from you., Key responsibilities include managing telephone enquiries, monitoring shared inboxes, booking appointments, providing reception cover, and undertaking a range of general office duties. You will have regular contact with patients, carers, colleagues, and healthcare professionals, requiring excellent communication and customer service skills. As part of the wider administration team, you will provide cross-cover when required, work closely with clinical colleagues, and ensure that daily administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ability to prioritise a busy workload, work flexibly to meet service demands, and maintain a professional and welcoming approach when dealing with internal and external enquiries is essential.
