NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry

Applications are invited for a NIHR Integrated Academic Training Clinical Lecturer post. The post is available for up to four years, according to the clinical training needs of the successful candidate to continue to train to consultant level (Post CCST training). You will join the vibrant Integrated Clinical Academic Training programme at Leeds which provides a supportive research environment to develop independent, novel research alongside your clinical consultant training within the specialty programme (Post CCST). You will be awarded a training contract with the Regional Postgraduate Dean in the specialist registrar/specialty trainee grade (or equivalent), an honorary contract with the appropriate NHS Trust. You must already have a PhD and hold specialist registration in Paediatric Dentistry with the GDC.
The successful candidate will continue or establish a new research programme with opportunities to align to current staff members' research interests including, but not limited to, biomineralisation, biomaterials and tissue engineering, dental public health and health services research, microbiology and cell biology, translational and clinical research [https://medicinehealth.leeds.ac.uk/dentistry-research-innovation]. You will undertake internationally regarded research and have the benefit of senior academic support in making grant applications, as well as independent mentoring on career progression. You will also share responsibility for delivering high quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes.
You will hold (or have submitted) your PhD at the time you apply; and will provide evidence that you have been fully awarded your degree by the time you take up the post. The post is based at the School of Dentistry, University of Leeds.
