Full Job Description

The Missional Formation Administrator is a new role supporting our new formation team whose task is to develop pathways for lay and ordained people to grow and develop in discipleship, ministry and mission. The formation team collaborate closely with other colleagues such as the Mission Enabler, Children and Families Mission Enabler and the Initial Ministerial Formation Officer, who also contribute to this task in their different areas.

Core tasks: The Missional Formation Administrator will receive enquiries, process applications for courses including safer recruitment processes, track participants' progress, issue certificates of completion, co-ordinate commissioning services, develop promotion materials, create social media posts, help to host training events and support the Head of Formation as she develops our strategy for formation across the diocese.

The Diocese of Exeter is currently operating a hybrid pattern of office- and home-based working; the normal place of work will be diocesan offices, combined with some home working. There is the expectation of occasional travel throughout the county of Devon, and some training events may be on occasional evenings and weekends., This role is funded through Church Commissioners' funding available for up to five years in support of the Pray, Grow, Serve 2035 programme. The appointment is therefore offered on a fixed term contract for an initial period of up to three years. Any extension would be subject to the continuation of funding and is not guaranteed.
