Full Job Description

Solihull Council is looking for a Management Support Assistant to join our Community Safety and Community Development teams. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting services that help create safer, stronger and more connected communities across Solihull. Working in a varied and fast-paced environment, you'll provide high-quality administrative, customer service and project support, helping colleagues, residents, partners and stakeholders achieve positive outcomes for local communities About the Role You'll be at the heart of our service, providing essential support across a range of activities including:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for residents, partners and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating meetings, partnership groups and community events.
  • Preparing agendas, taking minutes and managing follow-up actions.
  • Supporting communications through newsletters, websites and social media.
  • Managing team mailboxes and ensuring enquiries are handled promptly.
  • Raising invoices and purchase orders and supporting financial processes.
  • Maintaining databases, spreadsheets and records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Contributing ideas to improve processes and ways of working.

    You'll hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Business Administration or be able to demonstrate significant experience in Administration or Business Support that equips you to perform the full range of duties
  • We're also looking for someone who is:
  • An experienced administrator or business support professional.
  • Confident working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Comfortable working with data and maintaining accurate records.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
  • A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with a wide range of people.
