Genetic Toxicologist

At Syngenta, we help farmers grow productively while protecting the planet. Our Product Safety team at Jealott's Hill is seeking a Genetic Toxicologist to join a world-class scientific community. This is an opportunity to apply - and actively develop - your expertise in a role that directly supports the invention and registration of sustainable crop protection solutions. Accountabilities

• Design, manage, and interpret genetic toxicology studies at contract research organisations, delivering high-quality data to support active ingredient development and registration
• Analyse complex datasets and present findings, interpretations, and recommendations to expert and non-expert stakeholders
• Contribute specialist expertise across Product Safety and multi-disciplinary project teams
• Support scientific advocacy and foresight on emerging regulatory and toxicological issues
• Explore new approach methods (NAMs) and technical strategies to advance the science
  
  Degree in life sciences, biology, biomedicine, chemistry, or a related field - PhD preferred
• Genuine interest in developing expertise in genetic toxicology
• Strong analytical skills with experience applying complex data to decision making
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and work with high attention to detail
Desired
• Experience or knowledge of genetic toxicology, error-corrected next generation sequencing (ecNGS), or new approach methods
• Track record of external scientific engagement such as publications, conferences, or regulatory contributions
