GCSE Maths & English Teacher

As our new GCSE Maths & English Teacher within the Landbased Industries department, you'll play a key role in supporting learners to develop essential Maths and English skills that underpin their wider vocational studies and future progression.

You'll deliver engaging, accessible GCSE Maths and English lessons to learners across the department, helping them build confidence, improve attainment and achieve their qualifications. While maths delivery will be a primary focus, you'll also support English delivery, ensuring learners receive a well-rounded and consistent experience across both subject areas.

In this role, you'll design and deliver high-quality lessons using a variety of teaching approaches to meet the needs of a diverse cohort of learners. You'll develop schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching resources that support effective learning, and you'll assess student progress regularly providing constructive, motivating feedback that enables learners to reach their full potential.

You'll play an active role in curriculum development, working closely with course leaders and colleagues to review and enhance course delivery, contribute to new course development and improve student outcomes including attendance, retention and achievement. You'll also provide academic and pastoral support, creating a positive and supportive learning environment where learners feel motivated to succeed.
