Full Job Description

As Enterprise Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how technology enables our business to deliver critical defence, aerospace and engineering programmes. This is a strategic, high-impact position where you'll influence enterprise-wide decisions, align technology with business objectives, and ensure our digital landscape evolves to meet future challenges. You'll work at the heart of our corporate services function, collaborating with senior leaders and technical teams to create scalable, secure and forward-thinking architecture. This is an opportunity to help drive innovation, optimise operations and contribute to projects that protect national security and critical infrastructure - all while advancing your own career in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading enterprise architecture discussions and influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Developing and maintaining technology strategies aligned to business goals
  • Establishing architectural principles, standards and governance across all domains
  • Creating and presenting enterprise architecture models and roadmaps
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise platforms through consolidation, reuse and innovation
  • This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office and days working from home.

  • Demonstrating strong experience in enterprise or solution architecture and architecture modelling tools
  • Translating business strategy into actionable technology roadmaps
  • Interpreting complex business requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions
  • Aligning technology architecture with organisational goals and priorities
  • Working with modern technologies such as microservices, APIs, data platforms and cybersecurity principles
  • Qualifications for the Enterprise Architect:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as TOGAF, MCSE, CCNA or equivalent (preferred)
  • Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
