The Role

Trinity Academy Leeds

Cover and Student Support Officer

37 hours per week, Term Time Only (plus 8 days)

Scale 6 (Points 18-22). Actual salary £28,360 - £30,304

This is an exciting time to join the founding team of an outstanding school, Trinity Academy Leeds, as it continues to grow and develop. Trinity Academy Leeds opened its doors in September 2021 to 240 students from across the city and has already established a strong culture of excellence where all staff are united under the same shared mission: to enrich and strengthen the life choices and chances of the young people in east Leeds and beyond. Our school is coming into its sixth year and currently has 1200 students on roll. We had our first Ofsted inspection in May 2024 and achieved 'outstanding in all areas'.

Trinity Academy Leeds is part of a wider family of schools, Trinity Multi Academy Trust. TMAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life. Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

We are now seeking a Cover and Student Support Officer to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff to enhance the development and education of students. This role would suit a highly motivated, positive, and flexible individual who may be considering a teaching career in the future. You may be employed as a Cover Supervisor looking for the next stage in your career, be a qualified teacher looking for further experience in schools, or you may be seeking a new challenge with a willingness to learn new skills.

We would provide you with full training and the opportunity to take relevant CPD courses. As a growing school, there are valuable opportunities for development and promotion in the future. We strongly advise you to come for a tour of our school and to meet the team!

What can we offer you?

  • Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and a large pastoral team
  • A first-class behaviour for learning system
  • Excellent teaching resources
  • Career progression and cross-trust working
  • An excellent CPD package for all staff
  • A range of staff benefits including access to the West Yorkshire Pension fund, health scheme and cycle to work scheme

What are we looking for?

  • Educated to A-Level standard with GCSEs (or equivalent) at C or better, in English and Maths or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience of leading groups of whole classes (students 11-16)
  • Experience of assessing student progress and contributing to assessment processes

You must be fully committed to optimizing the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.

Interviews: To be confirmed

Closing Date: 8am, Thursday 17 September 2026

Start Date: To be confirmed

  • Trinity Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are made subject to an enhanced DBS check. We are an equal opportunities employer and want our staff profile to reflect the community we serve.
