Our Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit currently holds a LOW overall risk rating which was awarded during our last external Regional Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance audit in September 2025., To participate in the provision of a safe, efficient and cost-effective Aseptic Preparation Service for the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust as part of a multidisciplinary team.
To be responsible for the supervision of activities within the clean room.
To assist in the management of the service as necessary.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to support the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit in the provision of chemotherapy to patients within the Trust.
We are looking for a qualified technician to join our small friendly Aseptic Services team. You will have recent retail, hospital or aseptic experience, good communication skills, and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice. You will also have experience of teamwork, staff supervision, training others and work planning.
We welcome applications from Pharmacy Technicians and Science Manufacturing Technicians who do or do not have prior experience of working in an Aseptic Services Unit. You must demonstrate enthusiasm and knowledge regarding this service. A full training programme will be provided.

The Pharmacy Department is a friendly and progressive team, committed to supporting professional development. The department consists of approximately 120 members of staff and includes Pharmacists, Technicians, Assistants and Admin staff from almost 40 different nationalities.
