Full Job Description

This role sits at the heart of how we understand and improve performance across Worcestershire County Council. As a Senior Analyst, you will help us bring together complex data from across the organisation and turn it into clear, meaningful insight that supports decision making, service improvement and statutory reporting. You will work closely with services across the Council, asking the right questions, challenging respectfully, and using analysis and research to help people really understand what is working, what is not, and where we can do better. You will play a key role in shaping how performance information is used, not just reported. What's in it for you?: This is a role where your work genuinely makes a difference. You will be trusted to lead on significant pieces of analysis, contribute to high profile projects, and influence how services are delivered across the county. If you enjoy working with data but want more than just producing reports, this role gives you the opportunity to shape conversations, support transformation, and develop your professional expertise in a complex public sector environment. You will be exposed to a wide range of projects, performance frameworks and analytical challenges, with space to develop your skills in research, evaluation and insight. There is a strong focus on learning, collaboration and continuous improvement, and you will have opportunities to influence systems, tools and ways of working as we continue to evolve our performance culture. The team and how we work: You will be part of our Performance Services team within Finance, Commercial and Performance. We are a supportive, collaborative group of analysts and performance professionals who care about quality, curiosity and impact. We work closely with colleagues across all directorates and with external partners, which means no two days are the same. We value openness, constructive challenge and practical solutions. You will be encouraged to bring your ideas, share your expertise and develop strong relationships across the organisation. We know that great analysis comes from understanding the wider context, and we will support you to do just that.

While you are working hard, doing your best for the people of Worcestershire, we will do our best to provide an environment that supports and inspires you. Here are some of the top reasons why you should work here.

If you get more than 26 days where you work now, don't worry because if you join us without a break, we'll match your holiday up to 31 days. If you're successful and want to take advantage of this do let us know!
