Full Job Description

Based in our Foundation Learning department, you will play an integral role in supporting our students to achieve their full potential, particularly in English and Maths. You will work closely with our curriculum teams to provide informed support and interventions, helping our students develop the broader skills they need to succeed in their studies and progress in their qualifications. Your focus will be on working with small groups of students, guiding them through diagnostics, tailored learning strategies, and assessment methods. You will monitor their progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective interventions where necessary. In addition, you will maintain accurate records, including registers and reports on attendance, progress, and support provided. Collaborating with our curriculum teams, you will also ensure that the support offered is of a high standard and aligned with our students' needs. You will also play a part in creating and using resources and schemes of learning, fostering positive relationships with our learners to encourage their development. Organisation and attention to detail will be key, as you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring student progress, and reporting on interventions. You will also be proactive and adaptable, with the ability to identify and develop effective resources and learning strategies. Your approach should be student-focused, creative, and geared towards helping our learners overcome challenges and make progress. Experience working with small groups or mentoring students would be an advantage, as would familiarity with using online learning technologies and assessment methods.
