We currently have full and part time posts with in the Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Service in Somerset. This is a county wide service covering the beautiful county of Somerset. The service is compiled of 2 teams . The Perinatal Mental Health Team specialising in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of birthing people , who are effected by a moderate to severe mental illness, during the preconception, antenatal, and post natal period up to the child's 2nd Birthday and the Maternal Mental Health Team supporting people that have been effected by birth trauma , baby loss and tokophobia. Working along side colleagues in the multidisciplinary team and other teams such as maternity and health visiting , providing trauma informed care you will be a compassionate and caring person who is driven with the goal of helping families . The successful candidate will be able to attend specialist training and a bespoke induction and professional development will be supported. There are full time permanent posts and a fixed term post available. The fixed term post is for 22.5 hours per week for 9 months.Main duties of the job Keyworking including assessing and providing therapeutic interventions. Contribute to regular Multi-discplinariy meetins Liasing with other agencies to include health visiting service. Offering support to the other parent. Safeguarding Facilitating groups alongside colleagues. Attending obstetric clinics Ensuring phsyical health monitoring is completed. Encouraging healthy lifestyles Supporting with medication concordance.
