As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will be integral to our team, providing essential support to individuals accessing our mental health services. Your primary focus will be on delivering person-centred support that empowers those that we support to achieve their recovery goals. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a collaborative environment. Independence and resilience can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. That's where you come in. Responsible for supporting and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their accommodation and build independence skills.
You will work directly with the people who use our services to co-produced a support plan that will see their goals and aspirations achieved. The sorts of areas you could be working on could include developing domestic and financial management skills, learning to manage their accommodation, or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, amongst others.
About the Service:
We are a 24-hour Mental Health Supported Housing Service which is in the town of Middlewich with 7 self-contained individual flats. The Recovery Based Intensive Intervention and Prevention Accommodation Service (RBIIPAS) will provide intensive, time-limited, recovery support to 7 people with significant and enduring mental health needs at any one time. The purpose of the RBIIPAS is to support individuals coming from hospital/residential/prison or other protected environments through the provision of the service to develop life skills, social and self-management skills together with the personal skills and knowledge to move on to greater independence, integration, and inclusion in the wider community.
We provide access to 24-hour support to meet the needs of adults aged 18-65 years old who have a local connection to East Cheshire.
The individuals who are referred to the Service will have a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental health and will be identified as having complex needs and be on the Care Programme Approach.
We provide recovery-focused support whereby staff will use a range of tools to ensure support is individually tailored to meet the needs of the individual. The Recovery Star enables us to work with the individual in a person-centred way to consider 10 life domains and identify long and short-term goals.

Would you like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they support?, Like us, you are keen to break down the stigma of mental health. You'll bring all your skills to the table, including strong customer service and communication skills, but also your empathetic, flexible, creative and compassionate nature and enthusiasm for supporting others. You'll thrive under pressure, be happy to work both independently and within a team and know how to connect with people at all levels and really enjoy helping others.
No formal qualifications required as full training will be provided. If you have the skills and qualities listed above, we want to hear from you.
Candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. Whatever your background, you'll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties, which may include evenings, weekends and nights.
In return for your skills and enthusiasm, this role comes with some really great benefits and excellent training and development opportunities.

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship (RF). Aquarius supports people in the Midlands affected by substance use or gambling. It was a subsidiary of Richmond Fellowship and is now a subsidiary of Waythrough.
We are specialists in mental health, alcohol, drugs and related areas. We provide high quality, evidence-based services, which are designed around the needs of the people we support. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value.
