Full Job Description
This role will provide support primarily to the Chemistry department but there may be the requirement to cover in Biology or Physics as part of the wider team of technicians. The Science Technician Chemistry takes instruction from the Senior Technician in the Chemistry department for all day-to-day matters and reports to the Team Leader Technician. The successful candidate will assist with preparation of all materials used for teaching as well as the day-to-day running of the Chemistry Prep room. This includes the preparation of practical's, undertaking risk assessments and associated Health and Safety issues throughout the department.
This is an exciting time to join the Science Department as the school is expanding and Science is at the forefront of this.
The salary is based on the KGS Support Staff scales and will be dependent upon experience and scientific qualifications.
This is a full time permanent position. The hours are 40 per week from 8.30am - 4.30pm, working 36 weeks of the year including term time.
