An exciting 12-month fixed-term /secondment opportunity has arisen for a high calibre, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Clinical Effectiveness Team as a Band 5 Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator (Clinical Audit and NCEPOD).
The Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator will assist the Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator in the implementation, promotion, delivery, and monitoring of the clinical effectiveness portfolio including clinical audit and the identification of learning from Trust level and national clinical audits across University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will facilitate clinical audit projects through all aspects of the clinical audit cycle including project design, data collection, analysis, report preparation, dissemination and communication of clinical audit findings.

The post holder will be responsible for critically reviewing clinical audit methodologies and analysing clinical audit data to support healthcare professionals to interpret the findings used to inform changes to clinical practice.
Excellent written and communication skills are required in this role. The successful person will be liaising and negotiating with healthcare professionals at all levels, to develop and support them to implement clinical audit action plans.
We are looking for candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills, dedication and the ability to handle sensitive issues with diplomacy. An understanding of the NHS is desirable, and you will need to show past experience of working with data. You will need to be highly organised, to successfully manage your workload in this busy and dynamic environment.
This position is advertised as a secondment for a 12-month period and offers an opportunity to develop skills in managing a group of clinical audit projects and work with clinicians measuring the effectiveness of clinical practice against standards., + Assist with the development and delivery of the Trustwide clinical audit programme, ensuring that audits cover national and Trust priorities.
+ Support the development and implementation of Trust wide clinical audit policies across the Trust to underpin the delivery of the Quality Strategy.
+ Provide support and education to healthcare professionals in the development of clinical audit project methodologies and provide advice on all aspects of clinical audit project design, data collection methods, analytical support, and interpretation of audit results.
+ Develop an understanding of clinical audit, evidence based healthcare and clinical effectiveness and become experienced in clinical audit methodology and facilitation.
+ Develop methodologically rigorous clinical audit programmes within relevant specialties in collaboration with Clinical Leads, relevant committees, and management.
+ Liaise and negotiate with clinical staff, at all levels, to agree audit project methodologies, including project design, data collection methods and analytical support.
+ Produce reports pertaining to clinical audit activity undertaken and ensure the dissemination of reports is undertaken effectively and subsequent action plans are developed and implemented to improve inefficiencies in healthcare and services provided.
+ Assist healthcare professionals in the facilitation of any changes required as a direct result of clinical audit activity.
+ Support both national and local clinical audit activity across the Trust through the collection, collation, and presentation of data, from a variety of sources.
+ Participate in Trust wide audit projects and co-operate and collaborate with other team members across all areas of work when necessary.
+ Ensure audit activity undertaken within specialties is of a high standard, meets departmental requirements and is undertaken in line with the Trust Clinical Audit Policy.
+ Adhere to and maintain Information Governance, GDPR requirements and Caldicott Principles in all local and national clinical audit work and comply with the approval process for submitting data to external organisations as set out in Trust policies.
+ Support specific audit projects approved by the Clinical Effectiveness Co-ordinator including National Confidential Enquiries into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD) studies and the National Cardiac Arrest Audit (NCAA).
+ Actively participate, support, and contribute to the Clinical Audit Training Programmes across the Trust.
