Full Job Description
We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist with 3+ years of relevant experience that is data driven, analytical and has project management experience to join our client s Global Purchasing department in Desford. What will the Purchasing professional do?
- Solicit supplier quotations, analyse cost breakdowns, update pricing records, and manage supplier communications.
- Lead and support resource projects, resolve procurement challenges, and address invoice-related discrepancies.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding processes and foster strong, ongoing vendor relationships.
- Work in close partnership with the Site Buyer and contribute to the wider Specialty Products and Site procurement teams.
- Leverage Team Centre for Change Notices and navigate various systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance across quality, cost, logistics, development, and management (QCLDM) metrics.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle: negotiating supplier contracts, evaluating bids, issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and managing inventory levels.
- Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation and uphold compliance standards What experience does the Procurement Professional need?
