Full Job Description
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team. We pride ourselves at providing the best care to patients and their families in their last weeks or days of their life. Our Elderly Rehabilitation and End of Life Care unit achieved a nationally recognised accreditation in the Gold Standard Framework award for end-of-life care. We offer a structured induction programme, and you will be given opportunities to support to develop your skills clinically and professionally with exploring our offers such as the Trainee Nursing Apprenticeship & the Registered Nursing Degree Apprenticeship.
If you are new to care and hold no experience in healthcare, then we offer a fantastic development opportunity with a structured development plan to progress you from a band 2 to a band 3 Health Care Assistant on successful completion.
The Health Care Assistant post is a full-time role, we would be flexible and accept part time applications with a minimum of 22.5 hours. We have a variety of flexible family working patterns listed below;
Long Day - 07:30 - 20:30
Nights - 20.00 - 08.00

Assist registered nursing staff in providing high quality individualised nursing care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives and carers.
Assist the multi-disciplinary team to aid patients in gaining independence and mobility in preparation for a safe discharge. Participate in providing a range of therapeutic activities for patients.
