As part of your apprenticeship the topics that you will learn include:

• Aseptic Manufacture and Preparation Processes
• Health, Safety and Reducing Risk in Aseptic Pharmaceuticals
• Legislation, Regulations and Standards in Aseptic Pharmaceuticals
• Maintenance and Calibration in Aseptic Pharmaceutical
You will participate in the day-to-day routine activities of the aseptic unit working in a team of other Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants, to assist in the provision of the aseptic preparation service, the safe and efficient provision of aseptic chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies products to patients in the Trust. Validation and training activities carried out in areas such as aseptic dispensing of products.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician 2 year apprenticeship programme where you will gain hands on experience in our aseptic unit. Training will be completed through a combination of traditional academic learning where you will be supported to complete the theoretical and academic assessments and work-based learning where you will gain practical experience and develop professional skills and behaviours. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a formal professional qualification and be able to register with the Science Council as a Science Manufacturing Technician., You will need to meet the eligibility and enrolment criteria, Qualification certification will be required and you MUST be a UK resident or hold the right to remain/work in the UK - which has been held for the past 3 years.
