Full Job Description
Working closely with the performance team to deliver criteria-based rehabilitation with the objective of returning players back as quickly and as safely as possible.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in sports rehabilitation and familiar with the use of objective markers in the safe return to play of players, be able to work in a coordinated manner with the rest of the medical and performance team, be a strong communicator and able to build solid relationships with staff and players.
Key Responsibilities:
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- To provide medical diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation to Millwall 1st team players
- To provide matchday cover as required
- Maintain up to date medical records
- Organise scans and external treatment as required
- Maintain and develop communication between all staff and departments at MFC
- Attend and contribute to all MFC staff meetings as required
- To maintain and contribute to CPD
- To maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Assist and lead departmental in-service training as and when required
- To assist in the collection and evaluation of players daily physio screen
- To assist with prehab, pre-activation and recovery strategies
- Assist with soft tissue treatments to 1st team players as required
- Assist and organize relevant cardiac screening
- To assist in other departmental duties as required.
Minimum 2 years in team sport environment
- BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
- HPC registered
- Work flexibly and be open to travel extensively in the UK and in Europe.
- Only UK, Irish and EU citizens with settled status may apply for this position.
Desired Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Hold a full clean Driving Licence
- ATTMiF qualification
- Experience of using MS Office products.
