The position will initially be for a year with a probationary period, but we would be looking to extend beyond the year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Teaching Assistant to make a difference to pupil's experience of education in our small village school with a diverse group of pupils.
Ideally applicants should have:
- Recent experience working with Primary School aged children
- Have a high expectation for achievement and behaviour
- GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Willingness and ability to obtain and/or enhance qualifications and training for development in the post.
- An ability to work flexibly and use their own skills and initiative to enhance learning.
As we are a Church of England school with a Christian ethos. Candidates must be willing to support the school in promoting Christian values.
In return we can offer:
- A small friendly school with hardworking, dedicated and supportive colleagues
- A supportive governing body, leadership and staff team
- The opportunity to become part of a school community where children are at the heart of all we do
- Great children with a desire to learn
- Opportunities for continued professional development
- Term time only working
- The potential for additional hours working in school or with our Extended Provision.
You will not routinely be expected to attend school Teacher Training Days but may be invited to do so where the training is relevant to the role.
If you would like to find out more about the role or visit the school, please contact the school office or email recruitment@harewood.leeds.sch.uk and we will make arrangements.
Application packs can be emailed on request from the school office or the school website.
Completed applications should be emailed to recruitment@harewood.leeds.sch.uk no later than the deadline.
Shortlisting will take place shortly after applications close. We will then contact successful applicants to arrange times for interviews.
We look forward to meeting the right candidate and appointing a new member of staff to join our team.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
