Job Role: Data Governance Analyst
Salary: From £34200 (non London) & £39400 (London) + competitive benefits package including 9% flexible benefits allowance
Function: Chief Data Office
Location: Hybrid working/flexible across our key sites - London, Edinburgh, Bristol, Gloucester
Closing Date: 3 June 2025
At TSB we're all here to give money confidence to our customers and communities. Wherever you work in TSB you can make a real difference to your career, our business, and the wider community.
Our Chief Data Office (CDO) takes care of the policies, standards and procedures for the way in which data is handled in the Bank. We provide support on how data is used across the business, from Customers to Current Accounts and from Marketing to Mortgages. We are responsible for Data Governance, Data Quality and managing stakeholders across the organisation.
How you'll make a difference:
As a member of the Data Office team, you'll be involved in all aspects of data-related work. You'll gain insight into why data is vital to us, stay informed about emerging trends in the data landscape, and explore how data drives decision-making in modern businesses. You'll also act as the record keeper for governance forums such as the Data Quality Forum and Data Governance Authority.
There may be occasional travel to other TSB offices.
What you'll bring:
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
- Knowledge or experience in Metadata, Data Cataloguing, and Data Lineage, with an understanding of their importance in a banking context. Prior experience of data catalogues and metadata gathering would be beneficial.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to maintain and review key policies and standards owned by the team.
- Familiarity with risk and control frameworks would be beneficial, as the role involves operating key controls on behalf of the CDO.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate timely delivery of meeting materials.
- Ability to support, review, and analyse documentation related to data requirements, particularly those involving third-party suppliers.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and SharePoint.
- Experience with Collibra is preferred (other data governance tooling is valued).
- Understanding of TSB's Data Architecture is preferred.
- SQL knowledge is preferred.
What we offer in return:
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work/life balance
- An attractive reward and myTSB benefits package, giving you more of what matters to you
- A diverse, energising, and collaborative working environment
- A career that's enriching and full of opportunities
So, if this sounds right up your street, come join our team, we make things happen!
We are TSB. Life Made More.
Inclusion matters at TSB. We want our colleagues to feel at home here, no matter their background. Diverse teams are what helps us deliver Money Confidence. For everyone. Every day.
Did our job advert catch your eye, but you don't meet all the requirements? Don't let that put you off, if you meet some of the requirements and have an open, curious mindset, we'd love to hear from you!
Remember TSB is a Disability Confident Leader which means you are entitled to be part of the selection process for a role if you meet the minimum criteria outlined in the job advert.
