Full Job Description
As the drama technician you will be supporting the technical aspects of drama productions, lessons, and events, ensuring smooth operations and effective learning environments. This includes managing equipment, setting up stages, operating lighting and sound, and assisting students with technical skills.,
- Oversee and provide technical support - Operate sound, lighting (including rigging) and other effects during productions/exams/lessons
- Support and assist students opting for the technical route in drama (lighting/set/costume/sound) at A level and GCSE
- Assist with the sourcing, creation and maintenance of props/scenery and costume
- Be competent in recording, handling/editing of exam evidence and materials
- Develop and maintain systems of storage and ensure all equipment remains in good working order
- Help to prepare a safe and secure learning environment
- Oversee and provide administrative support for the department including support with trips
- Manage the department's social media presence, including advertising for events
