Full Job Description

Dean Close School are looking to appoint a new School Receptionist to join our front office team from September. This role is a full-time position working 36 weeks per year.; however, we would be open to considering job sharing for this role and part-time applicants are encouraged to apply. The Receptionist is acting as the first point for contact for the school and will be tasked with operating the school switchboard and handling any general enquiries. Other roles and responsibilities are to include:

  • Maintaining and updating manual and electronic records using MIS and IT systems
  • Support the Office Manager with accurate attendance reporting and maintenance of the MIS system
  • Liaising with staff, pupils, external agencies, and the wider school community
  • Organising events and supporting meetings
  • Supporting the daily running of reprographics in the absence of the Reprographics Assistant
  • Provide general administrative support to the School office
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • The successful candidate would have strong organisation skills and has the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
