Full Job Description
- To carry and respond to the bleep at all times. To manage each patient in conjunction with a named consultant, and to implement the guidelines laid down by the ICU Consultant advisor to ensure that all critically ill patients receive the highest standard of medical care., To provide support and work closely with all medical, nursing and other appropriate staff to facilitate the excellent standard of care given to critically sick patients at The London Clinic. To review all patients on the critical care units at least three times per day and to undertake rounds with the consultants. To provide emergency care for severely deteriorating patients likely to require high dependency critical care, pending the arrival / input of the designated consultant and / or the identification and involvement of the consultant anaesthetist / intensivist. To keep all consultants informed in changes in critical patient's condition and to agree and action any new treatment. To ensure all records are efficiently and accurately set up maintained and utilised, including manual and computerised records for reporting and audit procedures
