We're excited to bring to market 2 fantastic opportunities for an Existing and a New Business Underwriter to join AXA Commercial Lines within our highly respected London Commercial team, as we experience an exciting growth trajectory and invest in our workforce of the future. As a Property and Casualty Trading Underwriter, you'll help drive and transform how we partner our broker portfolios, through responsive, flexible, and collaborative relationships. With a strong balance of technical and trading capability, you'll be empowered to make decisions, supported by data, insight, and decision support tools on mobile technology to succeed. You'll be focused on developing and delivering profitable growth, across new or existing business within the key markets. What you'll be doing:
- Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the business plan.
- Manage a portfolio of renewals and new business to meet growth and retention targets.
- Monitor and upload underwriting standards, procedures and processes.
- Deliver timely, professional service to customers and intermediaries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and internal colleagues to support portfolio performance.

- Excellent trading capability with a good commercial awareness, negotiation skills and the ability to build strong broker relationships.
- Demonstrable P&C technical underwriting expertise in a composite insurance environment.
- Sound knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for insurance.
- Cert CII qualification with DIP CII is desirable. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
