Full Job Description
Investigation and Enforcement Services (IES) directorate aims to deliver and promote a range of investigation and enforcement activities, both civil and criminal in nature, to support fair and open markets. We do this by effectively enforcing the statutory company and insolvency regimes, maintaining public confidence in those regimes, and reducing the harm caused to victims of fraudulent activity and to the business community. This is an interesting and exciting role within the Financial Investigation Team, which is part of the Investigation and Enforcement Services Directorate. The team provides expert Asset Recovery work under the Proceeds Of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) supporting criminal and Intelligence investigation teams, to the wider agency and external partners. Team members are located across the country. The postholder would need to be a flexible, positive leader, who can build trusted working relationships with a range of people, internal and external, promoting a collaborative and positive team spirit. Some prior financial intelligence / investigation knowledge is desirable, additional training will be provided on the job and there will be support within the team who have a wealth of experience. This is an exciting role within IES with responsibility for leading the Financial Investigation admin team. Providing an essential service to support the wider team in investigation and enforcement of asset recovery opportunities. The post is a new post with opportunity to develop leadership and continuous improvement skills helping to shape the delivery of enforcement and asset recovery outcomes. The post can be carried out Nationally, but occasional attendance at each office may be required. The Financial Investigation admin team provides support to Accredited Financial Investigators to achieve targets and Insolvency Service goals., The post will involve leadership of the Financial Investigation admin team, the main duties of this are:
- Setting performance objectives for staff, linking objectives to local and divisional targets and expectations.
- Oversee administrative staff, ensuring efficient workflow, managing administrative processes, and liaising with the investigation teams to prioritise tasks.
- Monitoring team's performance to ensure orders are logged in Cyclops in an efficient and timely fashion to ensure effective investigations, leading to the appropriate outcome, which contribute to IES' targets.
- Review and reconcile allocation of ARIS Funds, raise outstanding queries.
- Identifying issues in any processes and address them as needed to ensure high quality investigation support is provided.
- Monitoring court timetables in relation to POCA matters, ensuring timetables are provided to the relevant officers, logged and adhered to.
- Maintaining central database of court orders to identify and enable revisits under Section 22 of POCA.
- Empowering FIU admin officers to operate as a team, giving them full autonomy to assist investigators and each other in achieving the services and local targets.
- Manage relevant excel spreadsheets including updating records of access users of intelligence and FIU systems.
- Maintain and keep records of Purchase Orders, highlighting renewal dates and drafting new Orders for consideration.
- Ensuring that the admin team accurately and effectively maintains records of the work they do and promote a secure information culture.
- Contributing to the local audit regime, providing feedback on findings to both management and staff as appropriate.
- Undertaking effective staff performance reviews against objectives, identify and review staff development needs, and proactively manage any performance or attendance issues.
- Actively implementing principles of Continuous Improvement by being open to innovation and new ideas and by contributing suggestions of your own and/or providing constructive feedback on the ideas or innovations of others.
- Participating in local management activities, including business planning, risk management, and recruitment as required.
- Participating in other work outside of the team/region as and when required.

- Maintaining the master sheet of bank statement requests
- Dealing with escalation requests
- Responsibility for data requests and data sharing agreements
- Engaging with senior management in IES about performance
