Our team provides oversight and delivery of the county's public health responsibilities.We provide specialist input, technical expertise, and leadership for a range of programme areas, working 'upstream' to prevent ill health and enable good health and wellbeing. Our focus is on reducing health inequities and achieving the best possible health and wellbeing outcomes for all of Staffordshire's residents.Main Responsibilities
The Public Health and Prevention team of Staffordshire County Council is seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to help shape, influence and deliver our prevention programme priorities. This is a 18-month fixed-term contract.You will:support colleagues across Public Health and Prevention to plan, deliver and monitor the implementation of projects to ensure programmes deliver better health outcomes for Staffordshire residents. need to influence, support and collaborate with a range of stakeholders, such as, GP's, Integrated Care Boards, Primary Care Networks, Pharmacists, providers and the public.be required to support the team with financial payments using the My Finance system, to include the processing of invoices and answering related finance queries. support with performance management of contracted service providers to help ensure value for money principles are embedded into work practices.report to a Senior Commissioning Manager and will be required to provide
effective GP engagement to meet our prevention programme priorities. You will need to meet the travel requirements of the role. This is mainly locally (Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent) but there may be a need to travel regionally and nationally on occasion.The Ideal Candidate
