Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
+
Plan, prepare, and deliver Spanish lessons that align with the national curriculum.
+
Track and assess student progress, offering targeted feedback and support.
+
Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and mutual respect.
+
Work collaboratively with colleagues in the MFL department to share best practices.
+
Support extracurricular language activities and promote cultural enrichment.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
+
Experience: 1 2 years of experience teaching Spanish in a UK secondary school, ideally including experience with GCSE preparation.
+
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Spanish or a related field, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
+
Training: Good understanding of effective teaching strategies, differentiation, and classroom behaviour management.
+
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for language education.
DBS Check:
All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) prior to working if not already in possession of one registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.
