Overview and Responsibilities Lead English Teacher, Aurora Brooklands Location: Midge Hall, near Leyland, Lancashire Salary: M1-UPS2 (£31,650-£47,338) Hours: 40 hours per week Closing date for applications is Wednesday 4th June 12:00. Lead Teacher - English Key duties in addition to standard SEN Teaching role:
- To take lead responsibility for English working in consultation with the Reading and Phonics Lead
- To deliver engaging teaching and learning within KS2, 3 & 4 to pupils working at and below age related expectations allowing them to achieve qualifications and successful outcomes.
- To provide professional leadership of English and subject management to secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils. Skills and Qualifications Qualifications:
- PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
- At least 2 years Teaching Experience with a successful completion of ECT
- Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with SEN, SLD/PMLD and ASD
- Experience of working in a special school environment and with pupils with autism, ADHD as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
- Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs.
- To understand a formal and semi-formal curriculum.
